People Suck
I work in a supermarket. I have never been so sure, in my entire life, that people suck. I am just going to vent, and list all the crappy things that customers don
Throwing money at me or putting it on the counter when my hand is out, waiting for it. Do you have no manners?
Thrusting the money in my face before I have even begun to put through oyour order. I cant do anything with it, I am not allowed to take it, so dont bother. What are you thinking? Do you think I am going to go “OK, so I can just tell by looking, this order is going to be $45.60, you can pay first and then I’ll scan and bag your groceries.” You friggin idiot!
The first thing you should do, if you have them, is tell me you have the green/canvas bags. What good is it to me if you give me the bags when I have already put half your stuff into plastic bags? Use your brain!
Dont tell me how to pack either. I know that the cans should go on the bottom and that you shouldnt put heavy stuff on eggs. Its my job. My job is to stand in that one spot and pack groceries into bags; I’ve picked some stuff up about how to do it, ya know.
Oh, and while I am talking about how I stand in one place all day - I dont know what is in what aisle. Why dont you ask one of the dozens of staff who are packing shelves. I stand at the front and scan stuff, how would I know what aisle it comes from? Dont ask me!
Dont be mean to me. Cliched, I know, but I dont come to your work and be rude to you.
If you do something like this, one of these stupid actions that so many people are slow enough to do, youre fruit is getting squashed. Get home, and there will be a thumb shaped hole in your peach. Or I might just, tip the lid off your yogurt so it spills over all your groceries, gets in your car, sticks to everything, stinks everything up, and pisses you off as much as your dumbass actions pissed me off. But hey, you will have no idea it was me, because I believe in good customer service. So I will smile and be polite and you will have no idea!

Oh, and to the old skank who berated me because she dropped the five cents I gave her - screw you. Hope you felt like important and special after it. Five cents is important, dont want to screw up your botox budget.
